Wow, so much has happened in the past few months that I’m almost not sure where to begin!

We are very proud to say that Pasella did a feature on our 4×4 route that was broadcasted in the beginning of the year. For all the adventurers among you, get those 4×4’s packed and ready to go and come enjoy our 4×4 route as recommended by Pasella!

We also had the guys from Photo’s of Africa here who did a DVD feature (as seen on our Homepage) that will be used for promotional purposes. Thank you Chris and Christo, you did a wonderful job!

Then Heinrich du Preez stayed with us to get a good night’s rest before he set a new world record by playing 18 holes of golf in all 9 provinces within 24hours – you can read more about his record at Radical Golf.

March was the big rush to the Cape for the Argus cycle tour, long weekends and school holidays saw us through April, May the hunting season opened and it is already almost June again!

For all the soccer fans – we are wishing Bafana Bafana all the best! Yes, it’s hard to believe but the soccer World Cup has just about begun. For everyone who wants to get away from the traffic and the noise – now is the perfect time to book a few days at The Vale and recharge those batteries!

Then I urge you to finalise your December holiday dates as soon as possible to avoid disappointment – bookings are already streaming in!

The Vale is now also on Facebook – please join our page and share your stories, experiences and photo’s on Facebook.  We will also have specials from time to time that will only be available to our Facebook fans.

And lastly: Part of the episode of the youth program Which Way! that will be broadcasted Thursday 27 May at 14:00 on SABC 3 was filmed at The Vale! If you miss Thursday’s episode you can catch the re-broadcast on Saturday 29 May at 07:00.

Ons is baie trots om te sê dat Pasella ‘n insetsel op ons 4×4 roete gedoen het wat aan die begin van die jaar uitgesaai is. Vir al die avontuurlustiges onder julle, pak daardie 4×4’e en kom geniet ons roete soos aanbeveel deur Pasella!

Dan het ons die manne van Photo’s of Africa hier gehad wat ‘n DVD insetsel oor The Vale gemaak het (soos gesien op ons ‘Homepage’) wat vir advertensie doeleindes gebruik gaan word. Dankie Chris en Christo, julle het fantastiese werk gedoen!

Verder het Heinrich du Preez hier by ons oornag om goed uit te rus voor hy ‘n nuwe wêreldrekord opgestel het deur 18 putjies golf in al 9 provinsies binne 24 uur te speel – lees meer hieroor by Radical Golf.

Maart maand was die groot toevlug Kaap toe vir die Argus fietstoer, langnaweke en ‘n skoolvakansie het ons deur April gedra, Mei het die Jagseisoen begin en dis alreeds amper weer Junie!

Vir al die sokkergeesdriftiges – ons almal hou styf duim vas vir Bafana Bafana! Jip, dis moeilik om te glo maar die wêreldbeker sokker het al so te sê begin. Vir almal wat wil wegkom van die verkeer en geraas – nou is die ideale tyd om ‘n paar dae by The Vale te kom uitrus!

Verder moet julle so gou moontlik julle Desember vakansie se datums finaliseer – die besprekings vir Desember stroom in!

The Vale is nou ook op Facebook – sluit gerus by ons aan en deel julle ervarings, stories en foto’s op Facebook.  Daar sal ook van tyd tot tyd spesiale aanbiedinge geadverteer word wat slegs vir ons Facebook aanhangers beskikbaar sal wees.

En laastens: ‘n Gedeelte van die episode van die jeugprogram Which Way! wat Donderdag 17 Mei om 14:00 op SABC 3 uitgesaai word is by The Vale verfilm! As julle Donderdag se episode mis kan julle Saterdagoggend 29 Mei om 07:00 na die heruitsending kyk.

Dit was omtrent ‘n mondvol! Ons hoop om almal gou weer by The Vale te verwelkom, en kyk uit vir julle op Facebook!
